Basic Steps on how to use Moon Animator 2 in Roblox Studio

If you're looking to add some custom animations to your Roblox games, and don't know what else to use other than the built-in Roblox Animator. Moon Animator 2 is a great tool to consider. Here are some of the basic steps to help you get started and know what functions to use when using Moon Animator 2 in Roblox Studio:

(Note: Please finish reading the post before trying it out yourself.)

1. First, you'll be needing to buy, download, and install Moon Animator 2 from the Roblox Library.

2. Once you've installed Moon Animator 2, you can open it from the plugins tab found in the Roblox Studio Toolbar on top of the screen.

3. Next, there are at least 3 buttons, Moon Animator, Character Inserter, and Easy Weld, which have different functions. Character Inserter's use is to insert a player's character using the username or IDs found in their profile's Roblox website or adding presets of Roblox's existing rigs. Easy Weld's use is to help animators weld the models, and parts they would like to use while also being able to get rid of the rigs within the models themselves. Now that I'm done explaining some of their uses click the Character Inserter to place a rig for you to animate.

4. Now that you have inserted yourself a rig. You can close Character Inserter and click Moon Animator to begin animating.

5. After that click on your character and press "New Rig Animation" (Note: This is only for a singular rig, And its name should be unique to avoid encountering errors)

6. As soon as you click new rig animation you can now animate the one you specifically chose. And it should show you this. As you can see there are 5 different parts you can animate within the rig (Depending on what rig you are using). You can select a part you would animate then you can finally start animating.

7. After making your animations you can simply save and the saved animations will be safely kept in your Server Storage or inside the model itself.

And that's all of the basic steps on how to use Moon Animator 2 in Roblox Studio.

I'll also show you an animation I made using Moon Animator:
(*Insert Video* I still have to make it just wait)

Moon Animator is quite simple and not that hard to understand. Although there are some buttons or tabs you might get confused about, luckily for you I can explain (attempting to at least) most of the functions shown in this post. The file is where you can save animations you made, Export Rigs, Import animations, and Export files. Edit is where you can copy and paste your keyframes to another frame, Item is where you can add in Rigs of your choosing to be in the animation (Note: It needs to be a Moon 2 File), Keyframe tab is where you can add keyframes without moving certain parts. Frame's use is to stretch the frames/time of your animation, And the Camera tab can add a camera anywhere so that when the animation plays it shows where the camera is looking at.

If you want to, for example, make your StarterCharacter/Player to use the Animation you made. Go to this link here:

Although Moon Animator 2 is a great tool, there are also better alternatives to it such as Blender, Built-In Roblox Animator, etc. Since the price for the plugin is quite expensive and besides Roblox Animator is a bit easier. However, this is only my opinion, and if you already had Moon Animator 2 installed it's alright since the purpose of the post is to focus on the steps to using Moon Animator 2. Anyway, have fun animating.
